“Roadie” means a roadside service provider offering assistance through Vehix.

“User” means any person using the Vehix platform, including Riders and Roadies.

“Services” means the Vehix platform, including emergency roadside assistance coordination and related features.

Vehix is a digital emergency roadside assistance platform that connects motorists with trusted roadside service providers through the power of community.

A. Information You Provide

For Riders:

    • Full name
    • Phone number
    • Nature of the roadside issue
    • Location at time of request
    • Communication with Roadies or support
    • Ratings, reviews, and service history

For Roadies:

    • Full name
    • Phone number
    • Identification or verification details
    • Service category (mechanic, tow, fuel, battery, etc.)
    • Location data
    • Ratings, reviews, and service history

B. Automatically Collected Information

    • GPS location (when requesting or providing assistance)
    • Device type, operating system, app version
    • IP address and usage logs
    • Date, time, and duration of app activity

  1. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

    • Provide and coordinate emergency roadside assistance
    • Match Riders with nearby Roadies
    • Enable real-time location tracking during active requests
    • Facilitate communication between Users
    • Improve safety, trust, and reliability of the platform
    • Verify service providers
    • Process payments (via third-party providers)
    • Improve and optimize our Services
    • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
    • Send you SMS or push notifications regarding discounts, special offers, and platform updates. You may opt-out of these communications at any time.

We process Personal Data based on:

    • Contractual necessity (connect roadies to riders to deliver roadside assistance services)
    • User consent (where required)
    • Legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, service improvement)
    • Legal obligations (compliance with applicable laws)
  1. Location Data & Emergency Use

Vehix relies heavily on location data to deliver emergency roadside assistance. Location data is collected only when necessary and is used to:

    • Identify your position during a roadside emergency
    • Match Riders with nearby Roadies
    • Track assistance progress in real time

Note: For Roadies, this data is collected even when the app is closed or not in use if you have toggled your status to ‘Online’. For Riders, Location data is collected only when the app is in use to set your location at the time of roadside assistance service request.

  1. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited data with:

    • Roadies (to respond to Rider requests)
    • Riders (to identify assigned Roadies)
    • Payment processors: To manage in-app wallet transactions, including Roadie top-ups and Rider reward payouts. Note: Payment for the actual roadside assistance is negotiated and settled directly between Riders and Roadies, meaning Vehix does not store Rider payment data for these specific services.
    • SMS, notification, and communication providers
    • Mapping and analytics services
    • Law enforcement or regulators where legally required

Data shared is limited to what is strictly necessary.

Vehix may use third-party tools such as:

    • Mapping services
    • Cloud hosting providers
    • Analytics platforms
    • Payment gateways

These providers process data under contractual obligations and appropriate safeguards.

  1. International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored or processed outside your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with applicable laws.

We retain Personal Data:

    • While your account is active
    • As needed to provide Services
    • To meet legal, regulatory, or dispute resolution requirements

Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer required.

  1. Account Deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing and to request portability.

    • In-App Deletion: You can delete your account directly through the Vehix App settings under “Profile > Delete Account”.
    • Email Request: You may also submit a deletion request to info@vehix.ug.
    • Exceptions: We may retain certain transactional data (e.g., trip history and payment records) for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes even after account deletion.

Vehix implements reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect Personal Data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Vehix is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
